GREEN SMOOTHIE FOR KIDS

I just love to start my day with a green smoothie and I almost have at least one a day. As Laurella is watching me drinking green smoothies all the time she also wants some. Children need more fats than adults do so I came up with this recipe especially for kids. It is rich in iron, omega 3 fatty acids, minerals, calcium and magnesium.

Here are the ingredients you will need:

  • 2 bananas
  • 130 g spinach
  • the meat of 1 young coconut
  • 8-10 Deglet Noir dates pitted

 

PREPARATION:

Add all the ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth. If your kids are not as much into green smoothies as Laurella is than ”hide” it in a colorful bottle for kids.

If you can’t get your hands on fresh coconuts you can replace it with coconut flakes. Take approximately 2 big tablespoons for this recipe. Fresh is always best.
