Blueberries are often called a ”Superfood” because of it’s high nutrient value in relation to their volume. They are so rich in antioxidants, packed with vitamins and amino acids and are super healthy.

Leading medical research continues to explore the unusually potent anti-cancer properties and promising health treatments that this food has to offer. Not only does this amazing superfood fight cancer, but has been shown to improve longevity, enhance muscle function, fight heart disease, and support brain function. This is what I read in the article.

They also found out that including 1 cup of blueberries 4x a week into your diet can be benefitial for your skin. Eating blueberries on a daily basis is even better, of course.

The high amount of antioxidants can help slow wrinkling, repair skin damage, reduce scarring and slow aging effects. Doesn’t that sound just absolutely great?

Since I read this I do enjoy my blueberries even more. Almost every day I give myself this extra beauty treatment.
