How to make your own vegan milk? I’s so simple and today I will show you how I’m doing it.
Today I’m making new almond milk for Laurella and I’ll take you with me and show you how easy it is. This milk is especially for kids because it’s a bit more sweet just like breast milk. If you want to make it for yourself and you don’t like it sweet than just skip the dates or use less. This milk is rich in calcium and other nutrient which your body can absorb easily. Here are the ingredients that you will need:
- 30 almonds
- 600-800 ml of water (depending how thick or skinny you like your milk)
- 3 Medjool dates pitted
Put all the ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth. I use a high speed blender for this. If you don’t have a high speed blender than I would recommend to strain the milk with a strainer or a nut milk bag. Just to get it really creamy and get rid of all the left over chunks.
If you want your milk even more nutrient dense you can soak the almonds for 8 hours before using them. This way you will waken up the enzymes and make it a living food. It will also be easier to digest.
You can make this milk with all kind of nuts and seeds. If you use hemp seeds you will have a great source of fat and the perfect balance between omega 3 and 6.
You can also add some blueberries or strawberries to this milk and give it a fruity taste. There are so many options for you and your kids.
This milk is rich in calcium and other nutrients and you and your kid can easily absorb them. The dates gives this milk an extra boost of calcium.
My daughter likes this milk even more when we just made it and it’s slightly warm (37 degrees celsius). I think this is because breast milk has the same temperature.

See you soon. Let’s rock.
